Sinkule Dormitory

Sinkule Dormitory is located in Prague – Dejvice, directly on the CTU and University of Chemistry and Technology Campus. The entire Nové Dejvice neighbourhood including its centre, Vítězné náměstí, was built in accordance to a modernist urban plan by architect Antonín Engel. The core architectural feature was the central Vítězné náměstí, a square onto which radial streets and boulevards converge. Unfortunately, the generous construction plan was interrupted by the Second World War, and subsequently it was never completed.

Sinkule Dormitory underwent partial renovation in 2000. Due to students’ continuously increasing demands for accommodation quality, further modernisation and replacement of interior furnishings is currently underway. It contains a total of 373 beds. The dormitory offers one- to four-bed rooms. There are shared sanitary facilities and kitchenettes on each floor. Kitchenettes come with a fridge, microwave oven and electric hobs and oven. In co-operation with the CTU Students’ Union, and in particular with the Sincoolka student club, students can make use of a gym, multimedia room, bicycle shed, bag storage, study rooms and a multipurpose playing field. The campus also includes the National Library of Technology, where you can loan academic books and study material, and make use of their study rooms.

Accommodation at Sinkule Dormitory is particularly attractive for students who are taught at the Dejvice University Campus, at most 5 minutes away by foot. You can dine at the canteens which are part of the campus – in the canteens at Masaryk Dormitory or Studentský dům, or else the more distant Technical Canteen.

Sinkule Dormitory has excellent transport connections. Roughly 2 minutes from the dormitory is Dejvická metro station You can use Prague Integrated Transport bus and tram routes (Dejvice station – approx. 3 minutes from dormitory). Students at Sinkule Dormitory enjoy making use of the broad spectrum of stores located on Vítězné náměstí or in its close proximity.
